Frequently Asked Questions

How does Bacoban® DLUS work?

Conventional disinfectants are effective immediately, but only for a short time. Mircoorganisms are only destroyed during the wet timeof the traditional disinfectant's active period. Once it's evaporated, the cleaned area is agian subjected to microbial strains, so a hygiene gap is developed. During this hygiene gap there can be a continuous settlement by microorganisms allowing for cross contamination. Bacoban® DLUS resolves this hygiene gap. This unique patented controlled release technology allows Bacoban® DLUS to remain on the surface for up to 10 days, destroying pathogens the entire time.

How long does it last?

Bacoban® DLUS stays active for up to 10 days, destroying pathogens the entire time. However, moderate abrasion or the use of other chemical cleaners can remove the protective layer.

Is Bacoban® DLUS safe to use around children, the elderly, people with compromised immune system, and pets?

Bacoban® DLUS is zero volatile organic compounds (VOC's) and is fragrance free. It is water based, and contains no alcohol, phenol or aldehyde. It is dermatologically tested, and biocompatible.

Can it be over applied?

No. Bacoban® DLUS does not form a biofilm or buildup of any kind. Daily use will not cause a thickening or 'crust' on surfaces. Any excess product is wiped away during application.

Where can I purchase Bacoban® DLUS?

Right here! Bacoban® DLUS is not available in retail stores, so please click the above button to purchase.

Do I still need other cleaners?

Visibly dirty surfaces should always be cleaned prior to disinfection. Bacoban® DLUS has extensive testing and efficacy claims, most importantly enveloped viruses 5 min.

How do I apply it?

Bacoban® DLUS requires no personal protective equipment (PPE) with normal use. Simply spray onto surface and wipe with a preferred cloth. Allow to dry and do not disturb for 5 minutes, allowing the protective layer to form. Our waterbased formula goes further than conventional disinfectants due to a slower evaporation time.

How long does the virus survive on surfaces?

From World Health Organization : It is not certain how long the virus that causes COVID-19 survives on surfaces, but it seems to behave like other coronaviruses. Studies suggest that coronaviruses (including preliminary information on the COVID-19 virus) may persist on surfaces for a few hours or up to several days. This may vary under different conditions (e.g. type of surface, temperature or humidity of the environment).
